YP Joins the Application Developers Alliance

Washington, D.C. (July 19, 2012) – The Application Developers Alliance is pleased to welcome YP as a corporate partner. Mike Fordyce, YP’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and Alternate Channels, will serve on the Alliance Board of Directors.

Fordyce’s career spans more than 18 years in business development, strategic alliances, marketing, product management, and sales in the telecom and tech industries. Fordyce previously led business development initiatives for AT&T Interactive and served on the Alliance Board in that capacity. YP and AT&T will now both be part of the Alliance Board of Directors.

“We are pleased to welcome YP to the Application Developers Alliance and to have Mike Fordyce continue his service on the Alliance Board of Directors,” said Jon Potter, Application Developers Alliance President. “YP is an excellent resource for developers, providing access to one of the industry’s largest databases of local content and outstanding publisher products and developer programs.”

Since launching in January, Alliance membership has grown to 8,000 individual developers and nearly 90 companies. YP joins industry-leading companies including Google, CBS Interactive, appMobi, and Mobile Deluxe; and individuals including Joel Spolsky, Robert Scoble, and Brad Feld on the Alliance Board.
