Alliance Hosts App Monetization Workshop in New York

New York, NY (Sept. 25, 2013) – Spotify, The Weather Channel, Yahoo!, OpenX, Arkadium and other industry-leading publishers and platforms will participate in a monetization workshop for mobile app developers hosted by the Application Developers Alliance on Sept. 26. The half-day event, which takes place in New York City and is available via livestream, will help developers understand monetization strategy.

Publishers Panel: Moderated by a representative from Yahoo!, leading app publishers Spotify, The Weather Channel and Arkadium will share their experience developing monetization strategies and weigh the costs and benefits of options like in-app purchases, freemium models, referral marketing, and virtual currency.

Platform Panel: Jake Ward with the Apps Alliance will lead representatives of AppLift, Smaato, SponsorPlace, Papaya Mobile and StartApp in a discussion about what developers need to know when adopting monetization strategy.

Keynote Discussion: Jason Fairchild, Chief Revenue Officer of OpenX, will highlight the value of analytics for revenue generation.
