Apps Alliance European Membership Continues to Grow

19 European Based App Publishers, Services and Developer Tools

BRUSSELS (October 31, 2014)  – The Application Developers Alliance announced today that 19 companies from 12 European countries have joined its growing membership. The Apps Alliance, whose European membership now includes more than 30 companies based in Europe, began its European operations in April of this year, including the introduction of a European board of directors as well as a series of developer centric events and programming.  The Apps Alliance’s overarching goal is to help app developers bring their creative ideas to market.

”In such a fast-changing industry like mobile, it is absolutely instrumental to stay in the loop and share knowledge with other professionals,” said Camilla Bonanni, Founder, Supernova. “I expect my Alliance membership to help me stay up to date with the latest mobile industry trends across the board, but also to increase my networking opportunities and fuel new business ideas”

“Our growth in Europe reflects the growing importance of developers in the European economy, now contributing more than 1 million jobs and €13 billion to the EU GDP,” said Alliance President Jon Potter. “We are proud to welcome our newest members and eager to work with them to ensure the developers have the tools, opportunity and policy environment they need to continue to innovate and deliver great apps for users.”

The Apps Alliance nearly 200 corporate members represent many of the fastest growing and most innovative industries in the world today. Alliance activities, programs, and working groups bring companies and individual developers together to promote innovation and support the developer ecosystem.

European members include: InstantAPI (United Kingdom); Flyver (Bulgaria); Supernova (France); AppStud (France); DigiMark (Bulgaria); ATOM Solutions (Bulgaria); Adeven – Adjust (Germany); MyScript (France); AppsFunder (Belgium); PubNative (Germany); ConIT AG (Switzerland); La Company (France); Pollfish (Greece); Concise Software (Poland); Fluendo (Spain); Instal (Italy); PRIORI DATA (Germany); D-Labs (Slovenia) and Pollen VC (United Kingdom).

“We joined the Alliance because we believe that networking and cooperation are the core of the successful ideas and projects,” said Boris Kolev, Managing Partner, DigiMark. “We are specialized in native mobile apps development which is only part of the food chain in our industry and we need good partners and clients who can empower us to transform our potential into great products and reach global results together. We believe that we will meet these partners in the Alliance.”

“Since we are always striving to be on ‘top of the wave’ in the technological world we felt that joining the App Alliance is a must for our fast growing company,” said Konstantin Dinev, Co-Founder of ATOM Solutions. “We are dedicated to delivering top quality products and we believe that all companies within the Alliance represent our vision as well.”

The Alliance European Board includes representatives from Ericsson (Sweden), Applift (Germany), Smaato (Germany) and Outfit7 (United Kingdom).

Director of European Policy and Government Affairs, Sophie Mestchersky, recently authored a blog post detailing the importance of the app economy in EuropeThe New “New” Digital Business.
