Apps Alliance Supports Michelle Lee’s Nomination for Director of USPTO

In a letter to members of the Senate, Apps Alliance President, Jon Potter, reiterates the Alliance’s support for President Obama’s nomination of Michelle K. Lee as the Director of the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Lee’s background solidifies her as a well-suited candidate for this position, including her time as an intellectual property attorney in the private sector and her tenure with the USPTO. Lee has demonstrated that she is thoughtful and fair on the issue of patent trolls and their impact on app developers, startups, and small businesses. The Alliance expects Lee to play an integral role in the protection of startups and developers.
