Developer Spotlight: Vincent Vergonjeanne

Name: Vincent Vergonjeanne
Location: Krakow, Poland

Why did you start coding?
I was 12 years old, and one of my magazines had a "program" ready to type. I asked my dad, who recently came home with one of the first PCs available on the market, if I could type the program. He sat me in front of the computer and I had the power to create, animate. I was the king of my own world. From the age of 12 to 20 years old, I programmed over 8 different games with a friend my age, who later happened to become an influential artist in the video game industry.

What are you currently working on?
I co-founded a video game studio in Krakow, Poland. I feel blessed to have found incredibly talented people here with who I created "Vikings Gone Wild," a successful free-to-play game, first released on Facebook and later launched on the iOS store.

Where do you see the industry going in 10 years?
Dematerialized, connected, dominated by the "in-app-purchase" model and with a twist of augmented reality.
